Rotary Club of Hurlingham in collaboration with Rotary Club of Vancouver Yaletown on last Friday, 9th August, 2019, handed over a water harvesting project to Suswa community, Narok county.
This is the first of a series of activities marking RCH’s 30 years of existence.
Neil Morton, Rotary Club of Vancouver – Yaletown. “This has truly been a collaborative journey with the community, the contractor, Rotary club of Hurlingham, Rotary Club of Vancouver – Yaletown, and the Rotary Foundation. The idea of building a water harvesting tank came up five years ago. It’s truly heartwarming to witness the idea that came to pass. I would like to wish the RCH a happy 30th birthday, and to wish it success in the next thirty years.”
Speaking during the occasion, President Frank Masinde quipped, “Rotary club of Hurlingham is excited to be part of this water and sanitation project. The handover of this 300,000 litre water harvesting tank, also marks our 30th year as a club. Rotary is here to create impact and change lives, that’s why we are at Suswa today.”
The club donated books and sanitary pads to the school. Rotary Club of Vancouver Yaletown presented footballs, books and stationery.
